After the war, Lt. Perry married Octavia Jordan. They became active members of the First Presbyterian Church. He was also very active in the Boy Scouts for over 25 years and was awarded the Silver Beaver for his service.
Perry served as president and treasurer of Perry Plywood Corporation in High Point from 1938 until 1959 and died in 1974, at the age of 80.
