Municipal Building. 200 East Commerce Avenue.

In 1922, a new City Hall was completed by architect Harry Barton of Greensboro. Located at the corner of East Commerce Avenue and South Wrenn Street, the municipal building contained meeting rooms and a theater, as well as the courtroom and City offices. By 1927, the High Point Public Library was also located here. Nevertheless, both City Hall and an adjacent fire station were demolished by 1973, to make way for an expansion of the Southern Furniture Exhibition Building, now the International Home Furnishings Center.
