The Furniture City Feasts : A Celebration of High Point's Food Culture and History

The 2013 North Carolina Archives Week theme "Homegrown!" spotlights photographs and other archival materials containing our state's rich food culture and history. Like folks in any city, High Point's citizens regularly feasted together at numerous club lunches, company picnics and church covered-dish dinners. They proudly collected and shared their tried-and-true recipes in cookbooks, many held by the High Point Historical Society and the Heritage Research Center at the High Point Public Library. Find a new "old recipe" to serve at your next special occasion!
