52 Weeks of Community Memories, Part 3 : High Point Historical Society celebrates 50 years

From the 1920s until World War II started, numerous companies sponsored sports teams in an industrial league. The players, like those on this 1933 Harris-Covington baseball team, worked at the mills and played ball on week-day and Saturday afternoons to large crowds of fans. Members of these teams had reunions into the 1990s to celebrate and remember this "golden era" of baseball in High Point.
